The FINETEC pearlescent colours are high-quality, water-soluble artist colours – "Made in Germany". Our paints are manufactured in Emskirchen on the basis of selected raw materials of the highest quality and with a lot of handwork. Because of the special manufacturing process each colour cake gets its characteristic and individual wavy surface.

Based on their high light fastness and strong pigmentation the FINETEC pearlescent colours are not only suitable for calligraphy and painting, but also for graphic art and many more. There are no limitations imposed on your imagination and creativity. The colours can be used with brushes, classic nibs as well as glass nibs. They can be mixed with each other as well as with other media and adhere to the various kinds of absorbent surfaces. These include wood and stone as well as different types of paper (e. g. watercolour paper). Our colour formula, which we developed together with artists and calligraphers, has a very good solubility.

The colours meet the highest quality and safety standards. All raw materials used are considered non-toxic according to the current state of science and meet all European specifications and American requirements according to ASTM D-4236.

Our colour types

Our product range extends from opaque pearlescent colours, iridescent colours and metallic colours to Flip Flop colours. The opaque pearlescent colours show their intense brilliance and their unique luster on all surfaces. The iridescent colours appear nearly transparent on a light background and they shimmer magically or fairy-like depending on the point of view and incidence of light. On a dark surface they show their exceeding colourfulness. It is a real eye-catcher! The metallic colours contain an exclusive colour pigment with real silver, which gives artworks an extraordinary shine. They can be mixed with other pearlescent colours and give them greater opacity and a more intensive gloss. Flip-Flop colours fascinate especially on dark surfaces with their impressive colour variation. The innovative chameleon effect changes the colour tone according to the incidence of light and the perspective of the viewer within a broad spectrum. They take full effect in 3D painting and thus offer an effect for the third dimension.

Our TwoTone Colours are a brand new addition. While classic opaque pearlescent colours appear grey without direct incidence of light, this new colour type always shows a coloured base tone under such lighting conditions. The new TwoTone colour Blue Gold (7205), for example, appears blue without light incidence, but shines golden with incidence of light. The secret of our mono-pigmented TwoTone colours is based on a special pigment technology.

Our product lines

We distinguish between our classic, proven FINETEC pearlescent colours (FINETEC Essentials) and our FINETEC premium colours (FINETEC Premium). For those who want to have it even more shimmering and noble, we recommend our new FINETEC premium colours. The FINETEC Premium colours are characterised by an even higher colour brilliance and a more intensive colour lustre. This is achieved in particular through the use of exclusive effect pigments up to real silver.

The new "FINETEC Premium" product line includes both opaque and iridescent pearlescent colours. While the latest generation of opaque FINETEC pearlescent colours has an extraordinary colour brilliance and an unique colour lustre, the latest generation of iridescent FINETEC pearlescent colours is characterised by a higher transparency combined with an extraordinary sparkling effect and even more intensive colour hues. The colour range of our flip-flop colours has been expanded and now covers the entire spectrum from gold to green. For the first time, selected flip-flop colours are available bundled in a separate colour box. The metallic colours with a colour pigment containing real silver are exclusively available only in the Premium Line.

Our two product lines can be distinguished by their packaging. The premium colours are labelled by the diagonal "Premium" lettering at the top left. No matter which product line you choose: With us you will always get products of very high quality – "Made in Germany".

Iridescent Colours

The iridescent colours appear nearly transparent on a light background and they shimmer magically or fairy-like depending on the point of view and incidence of light. On a dark surface they show their exceeding colourfulness. It is a real eye-catcher.

The new FINETEC Premium iridescent colours show a high transparency and have a special sparkling effect.

Metallic Colours

Metallic colours contain an exclusive pigment with real silver, which has a unique intense gloss.

Due to a special pigment technology, this metallic pigment can be mixed particularly well with other pearlescent colours. It increases their hiding power and gives them a more intensive lustre.

Special colour types

TwoTone Colours

TwoTone Colours show their colourfulness regardless of the angle of incidence of the light, as they have a coloured base tone. While pearlescent colours normally appear greyish without direct incidence of light, TwoTone Colours appear in a luminous colour tone under these lighting conditions. The TwoTone Colour "blue gold", for example, appears blue without direct incidence of light; with incidence of light it shines golden.

Silk-matt Pearlescent Colours (satin effect)

Silk-matt pearlescent colours are characterised by a noble satin effect. They are highlyopaque and develop their silk-matt colourfulness on both light and dark backgrounds.

The new silk-matt FINETEC Premium pearlescent colours can also be blended very well with the high-gloss colours.
